Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kuniz was born Milena Kuris on August 14, 1983 in Chernivtsi. Kunis immigrated with her parents Elvira Kunis and Mark Kunis to the United States at seven years of age. They eventually settled in Los Angeles. It proved to be a rough start for the Kunis family that arrived in their new country with only $250 in their pocket. Kunis' parents both quit their professions to help their children. Mark, who was a mechanical engineer, landed a job as an Uber driver. Elvira had previously taught Physics in Ukraine and ended up owning the pharmacy. Kunis acknowledged that he did not know American culture until he arrived. "I did not understand the American people. I didn't know the language. My essay to get in college started with this line: "Imagine being blinded and deaf at 7 years old." It was a very similar feeling to moving to the States. I was able to get over it quickly. Milena Markovna Kunis was born August 14 in 1983 to Mark Kunis and Elvira in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. She has an elder brother. Her mother is a teacher of physics and manages an pharmacy. Her father, a mechanical engineer by profession is also driver for taxis. She is Jewish and her family moved to Los Angeles at the age of seven. Rosewood Elementary School was where she went to school. At nine years old, she started taking acting lessons. She auditioned for a few commercials and then began her career in her first television role on 'Days of Our Lives' in 1994.She starred in small roles as a child actor in "Honey, We Shrunk Ourself and 'Santa with a Muscle' and the Angelina Jolie's film "Gia". She landed her first big role in 1998 as Jackie Burkhart on the hit sitcom 'That's 70s Show'. After receiving rave reviews, she was tapped to voice the character of Meg Griffin on animated sitcom  Family Guy.
