Rachel Emily Nichols

Rachel Emily Nichols was the daughter of Alison Nichols and James Nichols. She was born in Augusta Maine. She is of French Canadian and English descent. Cony High School was her high school in Augusta. She graduated with a math diploma and also a high jump competition. Columbia University in New York City was where she earned two degrees in math and economics. She began modeling, and launched her career in the industry with work for high-profile companies like Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch and L'Oreal. Rachel began her transition into acting after being offered a part on the HBO comedy Sex and the City (1998). Her film debut came as Jessica Matthews in Dumb and Dumberer: The Story of How Harry met Lloyd (2003). She continued to make waves through roles in films like The Amityville Horror (2006), The Inside (2005) and Alias (2001), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2008), Criminal Minds (2006) (a role that is a recurring role in the FBI Agent Ashley Seaver role) and Conan the Barbarian (2011). Columbia University, where she graduated with a double degree in economics and math, was her leading part in the role of Kiera Cameron (police officer) on the science-fiction series Continuum (2012). She was a model for Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch and L'Oreal. She was the first actress she auditioned for, the restaurant hostess on Sex and the City (1998). Her maternal grandfather was three quarters Italian and one quarter German and her maternal grandmother was of English, Scottish, and Northern Irish descent. Both Nichols along with Star Trek (2009) star Zoe Saldana, went on to work for Stephen Lang. Saldana with Lang in Avatar 2009; Nichols with Lang Conan the Barbarian 2011. On December 30 2013 she was engaged to real estate developer Michael Kershaw. She is naturally blonde.
