Rose McGowan

"Rose" McGowan (born on September 5, 1973) is an American actress and
activist. McGowan made her debut film debut in 1992 with Encino Man (1992), and
was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995 for her role
in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her first big role came in the
film horror Scream in 1996. Her next film was the films Jawbreaker (1999) as
well as Devil in the Flesh (2000). McGowan is most famous for her role in
Charmed, a supernatural drama series that aired on WB from 2001 until the year
2006. McGowan was later cast in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's
double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) for which she was nominated for both the
Saturn Award for Best Actress as well as the Scream Award for Best Scream
Queen. Her debut album, Planet 9, was released in 2018. It was followed by a
re-release of Planet 9 in 2020. In 2017 Time named McGowan one of the Silence
Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year, for her stance on sexual
harassment and assault, specifically in regard to the Harvey Weinstein sexual
abuse cases and the Me Too movement. She's published her memoir, Brave, and
starred in the four-part documentary series Citizen Rose, both in 2018.
